Mugical game changers

So today I wanted to bring you some Mugic I thought we would see as huge helps/annoyances in the game when AU finally comes online on the site. The Mipedian Bonding Battlesong is personally my favorite of all the Mipedian Mugic coming out of this set. Mipedian are not famous for their healing or gaining of health...but dang if this Mugic doesn't even up the field really quick. Just imagine if you will your facing a OW deck with Karraba and OW healing mojo and boom!...your matched with them one hundred percent....aaah relaxing isn't it? I love that feeling...even though I haven't used the card yet...but that brings me to the next card I am showing you, Interlude of Interruption. This thing is basically another version of that cadence clash we all know and love but this has sting in it. Sting for both the dude who is dealing it and the dude who has to deal with it, because yes it stops the other Mugic in its tracks unless the opponent pays the extra tax MC on the original mugic. Now this could be a good thing or a bad thing. If your opponent has a very finite number of mugic then they might not be able to pay the cost and your safe and the mugic is negated(like with a Song of Revival). But if the other person is a fluidmorpher army or something like that then sure you make them pay extra but at most all it does is slow their time of coming back and playing more mugic. Dispite that I completely think that this card is a game changer, its a like a double sided double-edged sword except the side thats hurting you is only half as big as the other side.so either way you win.

three days later...

....yeah sorry people I know I said "tomorrow" but hey it was a fun weekend, forgive me.anyway here we are back to business. so today I am going to show you a couple guys that reek havoc on Battlegear.

Courage:65
Power :25
Wisdom :60
Speed :80
Mugic :0
Energy :55

Fighter 6/10
Muge 0/10
Scout 0/10
Support 2/10

wow this guy is cool. Especially with all the ways we can now flip Battlegear. Right now I am thinking Gear grinds and wind slashes would be a nice combo with this guy along with gear glissandos but I do question how useful he actually could be. I mean in order to do this you have to waste ever needed BP room in your attack deck, and put in less useful ones....I know there could be some very creative ways of using him to massive damage but I personally don't seeing him being able to do great stuff in a pure Mipedian deck. With garv and other BG flippers I am sure he could be very useful...but for just Mipedian armies he can't be as destructive as other simpler Zhades DSDs and Mizkios...

Courage:70
Power :30
Wisdom :50
Speed :90
Mugic :1
Energy :50

Fighter 6/10
Support 4/10
Muge 3/10
Scout 1/10

This guy however I think could be much more useful in a Mipedian Deck. He can be used to make more room for you people (like me) who run gear grinds against those Bladez and Kha'rul with their armor and shards. And since the newest set has Battlegear that give elements for no cost and no checks then this makes him even more valuble. Also since he has pretty good stats (for a mipedian) and a Mugic (ever precious in mipedian decks I find) thats makes this guy prime for all 6v6 decks. Only down side is he only has one element so if you do plan on useing his expend ability give him something like D-zooka or Citadel Lodestone(on of those element giving Battlegear I was talking about) or a Evergreen tunic to make him last a little longer. Bye bye bladez and KHA!

Ixxik; the turncoat

Courage: 90
Power: 80
Wisdom: 30
Speed: 80
Mugic: 0
Health: 85

Use Ranges:

Fighter: 9/10
Support: 0/10
Muge: 0/10
Scout: 2/10

Ok so here is Ixxik. He is one useful Warbeast but I am sad that they made him so available to other people by even getting ride of the fact that he would need a conjuror, this is why I call him the turn-coat. At 85 ave health he has the second highest in the game (1st being AA'une) which makes three Mipedians now that are only trumped in stats by Aa'une (Blazvatan, Ninren and Ixxik)which is something that I as a mipedian player am very proud of. And with 85 health, drop a stone mail on this guy and I think your set. Which is saying a lot about what I think of him because I think stone mail is a complete waste....anyway on to better things! Even though they made him available to all the tribes they made all the tribes pay for it with the "other creatures you control have ten less energy" which balances out pretty well. Personally what I would do with this guy is put him in an army with Blazvatan and then give Blazvatan a warbeast powerleash(or a evergreen tunic seeing as how I don't have a leash) and then you'd put in a Ixxik on either side of him with stuff like vlaric shards, mipedian fulgurites or even evergreen tunics(if they have enough courage) to give them crazy amounts of health.

Ninren, also known to some as the Thunder Chicken

Ninren

Courage:90
Power: 90
Wisdome:25
Speed: 150
Mugic: 0
Energy: 70

Use Ranges:

Fighter: 7/10
Support: 1/10
Muge: 0/10
Scout: 6/10

This guy is cool. He's a war beast who rivals Blazvatan for speed and Rol'doi and Mik'banin in their main stats...I like this guy! And he is one of the 1st two warbeasts ever to be none-loyal(Ixxik is the other). So you other-tribe people could put him into your armies too as a amazing scout, seeing as how three of his stats beat 75 even at minimum. I am actually thinking of maybe putting this guy in an army with Ursis and making it a courage/power and air/earth deck. That'd work great! The only warbest that rivals him in what he does at all is Ere. But I would rather have this guy in a fight then Ere. So there he is, Ninren the Thunder chicken

Illar

Illar

Courage:70

Sweet I love this guy, he may not be mipedian but he is a great disruptor and stops your opponent from using the 2nd important cards in any attack deck the 2 BPers. He stops those ever useful slow sands, and deluge of dooms in their tracks! I am looking at the what they have of the new set on the collection page (they don't have all the cards up) and since I am only seeing 0 and 1 BP attack cards I don't know how much effect this is going to have on the new attacks but the 1 BPs from AU are looking very promising, so don't worry you'll be able to take this guy down but it'll just take longer and with two MC and pretty good stats "longer" is all this guy needs. For you well equipped Mipedian players out there taking this guy down shouldn't be too hard especially if you have a trills of demunition. For you OW players I dont know hoe exactly you'll fit him into your armies. I mean the OW is not exactly known for its earth/air combo teams but considering the new and many way of giving creatures elements I am sure you'll be able to fit him in somehow.

Announcement!

Ok so I have decided that when this site gets 15 people and I get a Box of AU or the set after that (its gonna take me a while to save for it) I will start giving out cards on a weekly basis. Because I mean really how on earth am I going to use all 216 cards in a box? sure I'll trade some and keep some but then the others....yeah I'll give them to all you people!

Underworld High Muges...

Alright we'll start with Lore High Muge

After the steller OW muges I already talked about I almost don't want to compare Lore and Kopond with enre-hep/najarin and kopond/lores predecessors but it still has to be done.so here it goes. The new Lore is one pretty cool card, he can bring back "dead" Mugic and use it again. Now I wont lie but there are some pretty scary Danian Mugic out there that I am sure you people wouldn't mine using again (mindproof march anyone?) but I gotta be honest(not bias) but Enre-hep does a much better job of mostly doing the same thing and does it better. I mean he can bring back and play any mugic of any cost for only one counter...sorry just saying. Anyway back to Lore. How does he compare with the original Lore? I think he wins. the old Lore had a good ability and was good for pure Muge armies but when he wasn't fighting he could only use his ability to half the full power of it..and when he was fighting in a non-Muge army...well....it was a half battle and he was squished. But This new version you can (as with Enre-hep) bring back already used mugic and use it again. So who do I pick...uuuh...(and I dont play danian so this is not a good subject for me)....I would say there even but in different ways. Just depends on what your deck is.

Kopond High Muge

1st off wanna say I think there is a huge improvement on this guy from his 1st version. In the old version you could deal a grand slam of 15 damage for the cost of two MC and have one left..(whoop whoop.not) but in this version he adds to the total of mugical damage. So for the cost of playing the ever classical Canon of Casualty (twice) you can deal 60 damage instead of a lousy 40. With the last Kopond it would have only been 50..yeah I'll take the new one, even though the old one had more MC which I find is something that is much needed in UW decks but aside from that small thing of 1 MC the new Kopond wins.

Zhade Dig Site Defender: Didn't I tell you? they remade him!

Zhade,
Dig Site Defender

Courage:65
Power: 45
Wisdom: 30
Speed: 95
Mugic: 1

Energy: 45

Ah and now we see the return of a very important Mipedian from DoP: Zhade, and they buffed him up too! Sweet. Zhade was one of those cards that when I saw I thought "darn....he could have been so much better" and now they have made him much better! He is now a cheap Maliph (being only common) and unlike Maliph he has Mugic...something I always wished Maliph had. Zhade is well rounded as far as Mipedian decks go and will be able to fit into most of them pretty well, he has something to offer all of them but the only down side he has low health :( but its not like we can't fix that with a good ol' evergreen tunic! Only problem is he would have to have MAX Courage. But seeing as how he is a common then he will be relatively easy to get. Oh and while I am thinking about it just a heads up they stopped makeing uncommons in the next set, so there are only 4 levels of rarity now instead of 5, and they are Common,Rare,Super rare and Ultra Rare. Anyway Zhade DSD promises to be a easy advantage for Mipedians in the long run and is ranked up there with the ever useful, ever underestimated Mizkio,Sirri,Ruhban and others.

Overworld High Muges

Alright we will start with Najarin. He may not have as many Mugic counters as his predecessor did but he makes up for it by makeing them cheap. Really cheap. If you plsy with guy with stuff like the Chimegrid and Mipedian Balladeers Flute he is sure to make all your Mugical problems vanish. Of all the hugh Muges he has the most wisdom and he is tied for highest health with Lore HM makeing him without doubt a formitable card to put into a muge deck. In the more conservative and normal streamline decks however, I would lean more to Najarin FF for gaining tons of mugic and being to heal (especially with the Mipedian Balladeers flute which would give him 2 mugic counters instead of one).
So the ending question for this guy is "is he worth it?".My answer, it all depends on your gameplay. Najarin FF is not loyal (unlike this guy) and he has more mugic counter and the ability to gain more (which is always a good thing) but Najarin HM doesn't need to gain more mugic because he can take three 2MC cost mugic (with the help of the Flute) and play them no problem. Now I am not an Overworld player but I bet that would relieve/help anyone with playing the more powerful Mugic in their tribe by not haveing to worry about where the MC is going to come from. So my answe for "Is he worth it?" is, yes. But I am not saying he outranks Najarin FF at all. it all depends on the gameplan.

Now onto Enre-hep HM

With his tricky Mipedian ability he can effectively give you 8 Mugic cards! But as I always seem to find in Mipedian decks the problem is actually being able to pay for all 8 of those Mugic and not be straining yourself, BUT imagine being able to play fanfare of the vanishing 4 times! Or other cool mipedian mugic, like trills of demunition. There are lots of ways of tossing this guy into a deck and being a little trickier with your mugic. Imagine you playing a really cool Mugic and your opponent thinking "wow I am glad thats over" then boom! it happens again even though that card is in the discard pile! But how does he measure up to his predecessor? well the last one was a conjuror who caused recklessness which would be terrifying for anyone. I mean C'mon having your creatures killing themselves off and you not being able to stop it, if played right that ability could be a game winner. His card was the basis for many Ribbien/recklessness that tore your opponent to ribbons without HAVEING to have amazing attacks or mugic or locations. So who would I use? well with Akkalbi from FUn being used with UW decks I am not sure. I think in a standard Mipedian deck I would use the new one, so I could play mugic again and again and again and annoy my opponent. But that doesn't mean the old one is useless. Like I said before those reckless causeing decks cripple the opponent if you make them right, But the winner of this one? Enre-hep High Muge

Breaking news! Warbeasts are gonna kick Butt!

So! I just found this guy in the Forums on Chaotic and he is amazing! As far as I can tell this guy is not a fake.I mean I have seen some impressive fan cards before but this bypasses all so...it has got(!) to be real!!! Honestly I half wish he wasn't loyal. I mean imagine him in a compost deck with a mandiblor crown! he would be unstoppable. This is why I love Warbeasts. They say UWers are the brawlers but....sorry Warbeasts take it to a whole 'nother level. oh and the stats are

Courage 120
Power 120
Wisdom 30
Speed 120
Energy 60

New Najarin and Kopond

Here are two more pictures by Bob Rivard that I am very suspicious of being new Najarin and Kopond cards! I can't tell you much about them except they are titled "young Najarin" and "Kopond the High Muge" thanks to MandibleMuge for telling me about Bob Rivard'ss site

New Mipedian

Hello one and all the is the 1st post at the Guardhouse! There is nothing much I can really bring except an interesting picture I found while surfing the web looking for card art pics. The artist is named Bob Rivard and he also did the art for Gorram. There are about 4 or 5 Chaotic-ish pics on his site that I think might be coming in the next set. It is either that or they were going to be used for past sets and it didn't happen.
